Being hospitalized can be a frightening experience for anyone, but it’s especially hard on children and their families. The chaplains at Cook Children’s Medical Center provide a ministry of spiritual care and support for hospitalized children and their families. One of the ways in which they minister to families is through Prayer Bears – small stuffed animals that are presented to each child, along with an accompanying storybook.
The chaplains at Cook Children’s are in need of new, small stuffed animals for their Prayer Bear Ministry. If you are able, please purchase a new stuffed animal and bring it with you to worship on Sunday, February 14. The chaplains request that the Prayer Bears keep their original tags, and that they be small – no taller than five inches in height.
Help us bring a little bit of God’s light and love to hospitalized children and their families!
